![]() ![]() ![]() I tried both "attack an enemy" and "auto battle" but the character still does not perform any actions. ![]() I tried using just "attack an enemy" flag but the character still does nothing. Except the character literally does nothing. That status effect that prevents movement is definitely being removed, but the character with the state in question still does not act.Įven if it was some stupid Ai BS because the moves technically heal an enemy, the game would still need to select an action and that could be an item on a party member or using a bomb from the inventory on the boss since literally everything else is disabled. The one that does prevent movement (Tiamat's Seduction) is removed upon adding this status effect via same skill that adds this status effect. The state does not have a "cannot move" flag, and the character in question is not affected with any other status effects that prevent movement. However, despite the fact that the state clearly says "auto battle", the character with the state performs absolutely no actions whatsoever. These are the two skills that I want the character to automatically keep using on the boss. As you can see, there are two "add skills" in the state. I tried dozens of ways to fix this, all with fail. However, the status effect that is supposed cause this character to heal the boss is not working for whatever reason. His dragon wife gets LB for a turn that snaps the main character out of the boss's seduction. ![]() The only thing that comes to mind is using a clever damage formula to simulate the possibility of a miss.I am programming a boss fight where the boss is very intimately interested in one of the characters and uses her seduction on him at certain points of the fight.Īt one point, I want the boss to manifest her intimacy into this character to cause this character to keep healing the boss with intimate moves until 10 turns later, where the boss uses a powerful move to wipe the party of everybody except this character, who takes no damage, and the character's dragon wife survives with 1 HP left. Now if the question is to somehow change a skill's chance to hit by having some effect on a weapon or other piece of equipment, I'm not sure that can be done without using a script. giving a weapon the trait of Hit Rate +5% would increase the actor's overall Hit Rate by +5% when they have the weapon equipped so, an actor whose Hit Rate is altered by the default class trait of 95% would now have 100% Hit Rate with the weapon equipped).Īt least this is my understanding of it all. So when you do add a hit rate change as a weapon trait it is an additive adjustment (i.e. From my understanding when you change the hit rate further, like in your example of a weapon trait, the 0% default essentially means no change. Also you should notice the hit rate is modified on the class tab as the hit rate trait is set to 95%. To modify the chance of other skills to hit, you set the chance on the skills tab in the database default is 100%.īy default an actor has a 0% hit rate. Hit rate modifies only the chance to hit with the attack skill. But does this means attacks hit all the time? Half of the time? Random? I don't know what is the default value so I don't know how much I should add/remove when touching Ex-Parameter stats. I know the program has 0 by default, but what does that really mean? Let's take HIT stat on a weapon for example usually it's +0%. I also wonder what the default Ex-Parameter % number is. Is there a way to separate them without script? (for example, making basic attacks hit 100% of the time but using magic skills hit allies/enemies only 50% of the time). Does the Ex-Parameter HIT rate modifies both of the weapon's basic attacks and skills? I was wondering if there is a way to modify the hit rates of abilities (skills basically, like Fireball or other generic magical abilities) on a weapon. I am using VX Ace but this should be applicable for all RPGM. I'm still relatively new and just picked up RPGM again. I've been looking around, but not a lot of threads dive into the details of these weapon's stats. ![]()
